Uniform

School Uniform (Optional for Nursery Children)

The Local Academy Committee require that all children wear school uniform. We feel that school uniform helps unite the children as members of our school family. We expect all children to come to school looking tidy and smart in their uniform and we encourage them to look after their clothes. We would ask that all clothes are named when first purchased, enabling all children to identify their belongings as one sweatshirt looks very much like another and can only be identified as belonging to your child if it has been named.

Our school uniform will be changing from September 2023. Those of you who came to the Parents Evening last week will have seen our mannequins displaying our new uniform. We will be selling the uniform from beginning of May (providing we have received our stocks) and it can be worn from
5th June but must be worn from September 2023.

The uniform will be

Winter uniform (return from October Half Term until end of Spring Term ie Easter Holidays)
White shirt
St Patrick’s tie
V-neck sweater or cardigan – St Patrick logo
Black skirt or trousers
Black smart shoes – no trainers

Summer uniform (Summer Term ie after Easter until end of Autumn 1)
White polo
V-neck sweater or cardigan – St Patrick logo
Black skirt or trousers
Green gingham summer dress
Black smart shoes – no trainers

PE kit – which will be worn on PE days
Black sweater – St Patrick logo
Plain white T-shirt
Black jogging bottoms – supermarket only NOT branded, NO leggings
Black PE shorts
Trainers

Cat Ballou will no longer be stocking St Patrick’s uniform. Our uniform with St Patrick’s logo will only be sold at school.

Items to be purchased from school
Sweaters
Cardigans
Ties
PE sweaters

Items to be purchased from supermarkets
White shirts
White polos
Black skirts
Black trousers
Green gingham summer dresses
Black jogging bottoms

We want to ensure that we have enough stock for you to purchase prior to the summer break and so your child will be bringing home a slip which we would like you to complete and return to school by Friday. This is just to get a rough idea of what stock we will need; it is not an order form. We have one of each size jumper/cardigan in the office if you would like to look at sizes.

Order forms will be available from May 2023.

Personal Appearance

  • No outlandish hairstyles, ie shaved patterns, colours, etc
  • Hair ornaments should be kept as simple as possible ie plain bobbles or alice band to keep hair back
  • No jewellery except for earrings which should be a pair of plain studs which MUST be removed for PE
  • Extensions should be the same colour as the natural hair if needed
  • No acrylic or painted nails or the wearing of makeup

The term outlandish will be defined by the Principal or Senior Management Team
